This role is responsible for Receiving and Stocking product. They may also retrieve product and will be involved in cycle counting. Recommended Training: Parts Foundations and Parts Operations

Some dealers have added this position to ensure the Service Department is supported. It is also an excellent progression step to prepare for working on the Parts Counter. Recommended Training: Parts Foundations and Parts Operations

These are your experts who staff the Parts Counter and help customers everyday. They usually gain essential experience in the three roles above. Recommended Training: Parts Foundations and Parts Operations

Natural progression between Parts Advisor and Parts Manager. This position may add responsibilities like Marketing, Pricing, and Inventory Accuracy. Training Recommended: Parts Foundations, Parts Operations, Department Management, and Parts Promotion.

This role is responsible for managing the Inventory Control Parameters in your system. They also manage Cycle Counting or Physical Inventory. Common with multiple locations. Recommended Training: Parts Operations and Advanced Inventory Management

The next progressive step is to manage the Parts Department. This person is usually responsible for Parts Employees, Inventory Parameters, Sales, Margin and overall department performance. Recommended Training: Parts Foundations, Parts Operations, Department Management, and Parts Promotion.

For dealers with multiple locations. This role is responsible for the aggregate performance of the individual parts departments. They may also be responsible for Service and referred to Product Support Director or VP. Recommended Training: Parts Operations, Department Management, Parts Promotion, Advanced Inventory Management, and Managing Parts at Multiple Locations

In most dealerships this is a shared role with other departments. They manage all of the in-store and external promotional efforts. While not a direct report, they should work closely with Parts Department Management. Recommended Training: Parts Foundations, and Parts Promotion.
